Making A Difference, One Cup At A Time.
With 400 million cups of coffee consumed daily in the U.S., we know that there is a BIG opportunity to positively impact the world through the simple act of drinking a cup of coffee. We have several long-standing philanthropic relationships and a variety of ongoing programs that aim to give back with what we call “Coffees for a Cause”.
The School That Coffee Built
In true partnership with our Peruvian farming communities in the towns of Primero de Mayo and Agua Azul, we’re teaming up with the farming co-op to rebuild their school in an effort to further support the educational efforts to build social and economic sustainability for generations to come. Throughout 2018 and 2019, proceeds from our Peruvian coffees will support the efforts to improve the school (rebuilding the structure, adding electricity and installed a running water system) and community.
Project C.U.R.E. Coffee
For the past six years, we’ve partnered with Project C.U.R.E. to develop our C.U.R.E. Coffee program which provides medical relief to coffee growing communities around the world. $3 from every 8 oz. bag of Direct Trade C.U.R.E Coffees goes to provide medical relief to the communities in which the coffees are grown. To date, this program has helped fund over $400K in medical relief to global efforts.
Brew of Bravery – Troop Coffee
We’ve formally partnered with the USO to give a welcomed piece of home to our military men and women stationed around the world. Since 2005, together with our loyal Boca Java customers, we have donated over 7.9 MILLION cups of gourmet coffee to our U.S. Troops and we match every bag dontated. This program connects Boca Java customers directly with our U.S Troops – customers purchase and/or donate coffee, we roast, pack, ship and manage the process of fresh coffee drops to the front lines.
